A wild island in a metropolis, a piece of nature cast off from the city,
floating in the dreams of its dwellers...
Our effort focuses on preserving the spatial memories of Nodeul island and at the same time creating new visions for the future.
We start by retaining and making visible the fragile traces of history. Elements of found landscape are cast in white concrete paving and given new use.
Architecture is considered as an extension of landscape, and it should not set itself apart or dominate nature. The buildings touch the ground lightly, are open and transparent.
